Lata Karanj is generally known as Bonduc Nut or Fever Nut. Lata Karanj belongs to Caesalpinia Bonduc botany and famous as Karanjwa or Katuk Ranja in India.

Caesalpinia Bonduc is a tree. It is Perennial and belongs to Caesalpinioideae family. It grows in subtropical climate and are average sized around 15 meters tall.

It has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antiperiodic, antiemetic, contraceptive and tonic properties.

It is commonly used herb in Menstrual disorders. It also help in Menses scanty and Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is also effective herb used in sexual debility, blood clots, tumors, nausea, vomiting and Urinary Tract Infections.

It is Alkaloid and warm in nature having Bitter, Astringent or pungent taste with various nutritional properties.

Putrajeevak Beej or seeds are used for female infertility treatment in ayurveda botanically named as Putranjiva Roxburghii. It strengthens the uterine musculature and helps a woman to get pregnant. According to ayurveda, it has an effect on the reproductive system, especially on uterus and ovaries in women and testes in men. The main action of Putrajeevak is to strengthen these structures and improve the functions of these organs. It is also helpful in the treatment of habitual abortion (recurrent miscarriage).

In addition, it also has aphrodisiac and spermatogenic actions, so it is beneficial in male impotence and infertility. It induces spermatogenesis, improves the total sperm count and increases the count of healthy sperms in the semen.
